I love the conversions on this car! From Automatic to Manual is a big plus. And the conversion from E39 to full 7-series is seldom undertaken. I’d say it’s been very tastefully converted.
In fact, I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a better looking 5-series to 7-series conversion.

Where is the badge to prove this glorious 7 series touring! Hard part is done, might be some life left in this car

What parts of this have been converted “to 7 series”? Looks like a 5-series to me. Albeit with 3 series wheels and awful, awful blacked taillights

The main part of the conversion is in the Craigslist ad. upgrade.
He KNOWS what he has.

That’s the irony right?!? A 5-series in that vintage is actually worth more than a 7-series of that age.
Although the rarity of a 7-series wagon probably commands a premium

Not as far as I know. If Mercedes never did an S-Class Estate I don’t think BMW ever did a 7-series Touring. 750iT has a certain cachet, though.
I have so many A8s laying around, I’ve always wanted to create an A8 Avant, for much the same reason. A really luxurious, all weather, ski car and pet hauler...

No S-class wagons, but there was a small run of custom/bespoke 126 and 140 wagons made during the period - production no doubt not out of the double digits.

Oh, OH. Indeed he does know what he has.
And what he has certainly isn’t a 5 series. No, nope.
